Earlier this month Sea Tow Central CT installed an automated radio check system at Harbor One Marina at the mouth of the Connecticut River.

Boaters from Chester to Clinton should be able to hit the tower with a 25 watt radio and an 8 foot antenna.  Simply tune your VHF radio to Channel 24, key the mike and ask for a radio check as I have done in this video.  The system will play back your message letting you know how well your radio is working.  We also have systems in Greenport on channel 28 and Mystic on channel 27

On Saturday May 14th Sea Tow Central Connecticut attended the Coast Guard Open House at Sector Long Island Sound in New Haven, Connecticut.

The highlight of the event was of course the Helicopter rescue demo.
