It may be cold out but The Hartford Boat Show is only two weeks away.  Time to come in and check out everything Sea Tow is all about.  We reserved extra space this year and plan to have a seating area so members can come by and hang out, take The Boating Safety Challenge for a free T-shirt or talk to our Sea Training instructor Captain Jim Cranston USN Retired Commander.

Save the dates January 28th-30th at the Hartford Convention Center.  Follow this link  http://www.ctmarinetrades.org/boatshow/index.html for $2.00 off parking.

If you are looking to combine a nice meal with the show check out Vivo, the restaurant in the Marriott next door to the Convention Center http://www.vivohartford.com/

See you there

On Friday October 8th winds were sustained at 20 to 25 knots.  Sea Tow Unit 1 from Old Saybrook responded to a 26 foot vessel in need of assistance.  Sea Tow Guardian responded to escort the tow into the jetties at Saybrook where seas were breaking 6 to 7 feet.

Not as nice this weekend as last!  Mariners are urged to stay close to shore today as severe thunderstorms are forcast for later in the day.  Keep your ears tuned to NOAA weather radio, WX channels 1, 2 or 3 on your VHF radio.  Be safe!
